“It started back when I was a dental student at Queens University Belfast, I had the opportunity to work for a US Congressman, one summer, as part of the Washington Ireland Program.
This was a fantastic exposure to American politics and how business actually gets done Stateside.

Interest in American Dentistry Born!
My interest in cosmetic and private dentistry was born. Not just the art and science of exceptional craftsmanship, but I learnt from Dr. Giannini, how to deliver a dental experience unlike anything I had witnessed in Europe, gracious, understated and kind, where the patient is seen, known and understood.

Fast forward several years of clinical dentistry and I decided to pursue training recommended by Dr. Giannini at Spear Education Scottsdale AZ. This is viewed as one of the most prestigious dental postgraduate training facilities in the US!
Learning about smile design, occlusion and comprehensive dentistry in a hands-on setting over several visits really changed the way I viewed patient care and altered my approach to cosmetic dentistry in Belfast! Dentistry started to make sense, treatment plans were, simple, logical and predictable, finally!
American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
Buzzing for what I had learnt and the difference it was making in my daily practice, I joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as one of the first dentists in Ireland to be a participating member!
This is a great network of now friends, colleagues and mentors who help with complex cases, give advice, tips and support.
Shout out to my AACD family to which I am so grateful. I had the opportunity to attend the 2022 conference and undertake classes by world-renowned cosmetic dentists such as Dr. Newton Fahl and Dr. Marshall Hanson. I now work towards my case accreditation with the AACD!”
